For as much as this show was about the wonderfully humorous script, the thoughtful staging and great non-verbal cues and reactions made this show an instant comedic hit.

What can I say about this show - it was witty, adorable, charming, and oh so British!

Cherry Creek Theatre, has a gem on their hands with this obscure musical from the 80's.

Emmy Award Winning Actor Leslie Jordan performed his one man comedy FRUIT FLY at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret this past weekend. Mr. Jordan travels back in time in FRUIT FLY, sharing childhood recollections including some perilous teenage shenanigans. The show traverses Leslie's life from the day his teenage self sits down with his mother to inform her that he has decided to forego college to become a female impersonator, all the way to a gay Alaskan cruise with 2,000 gay men on which a 53 year old (with shipping and handling) Leslie witnesses his aging mother's metamorphosis. Jordan's storytelling skills and wit abound in this one man comedy.

First, compliments go out to entire ensemble as a whole for working so well together and building a strong chemistry that drew the audience in completely.

While the script is quite humorous and read well onstage, it was apparent that there was definitely something lacking in this production.

Filled with mystery, intrigue, suspense and infused with wit, melodrama and vaudevillian antics, this show was an absolute delight to watch!

I must say that there was plenty of Disney magic in this visual extravaganza and it delighted my inner-child ever so much.

CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES features four distinct characters and their relationships as they organize the food and confront the problems in a rural Minnesota church. From the elderly matriarch to the young bride?to?be learning the proper order of things, the story and music give us a touching yet funny look at their lives as we see them handle a record breaking Christmas dinner, the funeral of a dear friend, a Hawaiian Easter Fundraiser, and a steaming hot July wedding.

These lyrics are absolute comedic genius and had the entire audience in stitches.

Vintage Theatre presents THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS playing now through May 5th. This happy go lucky view of small town vice and statewide political side-stepping recounts the good times and the demise of the Chicken Ranch, one of the better pleasure palaces in all of Texas. Governors, senators, and even victorious college football teams frequent Miss Mona's until that puritan nemesis Watchdog focuses his television cameras and his righteous indignation on the institution.

In light of recent events and tragedies, this expertly acted and crafted play is more pertinent and timely than ever and should not be missed.
