Michael Gioia

Michael Gioia has held various senior editor positions at publications including People, Parade, The Messenger, Star and Playbill, where he covered Broadway and the theater industry for nearly seven years. Throughout his career, he has interviewed the entertainment industry’s most sought-after and esteemed celebrities, including Meryl Streep, Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Corden, Idina Menzel, Ben Platt, Ariana Grande, Daniel Radcliffe, Bruce Willis, Carol Burnett and countless others. In 2014, he wrote the liner notes of the souvenir program for the Broadway revival of Cabaret, starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams. He is an experienced moderator for major celebrity conventions, hosting panels at 90s Con and BroadwayCon, among others. As a producer, he spearheaded events featuring Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Golden Globe winner Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and more. Michael is a graduate of Montclair State University, where he studied English and Journalism.
