Pumpkin Theatre is hosting their Family Fun Day this Saturday, May 19, at CENTERSTAGE. From 10 am to 1 pm, Pumpkin will present performances, arts and crafts, face painting, and more. The Iced Gems Baking Cupcake Truck will be on site, and Pumpkin's Creative Drama classes will present special performances. There will be a live announcement of Pumpkin Theatre's 45th Anniversary Season, and a special subscription series offer as part of the season announcement.

The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, which opens at the Ivoryton Playhouse on June 6th and runs through June 24th, introduces audiences to Barney Cashman, a 47-year-old restaurateur, who decides he needs to take a break from his 23-year-old marriage. On three different afternoons, he brings women to his mother's apartment while she's at the hospital volunteering. Behind plentiful laughs is a tender portrayal of a decent fellow who just can't succeed in sinning.

The Hole will present a one night only photo exhibition on Tuesday May 29th by iO Tillett Wright. The evening will be hosted by Terence Koh, Venus X, Slava Mogutin, Eve Ensler, Lauren Flax and James Lecesne of the Trevor Project with performances by Cavemen, Bianca Casady of CocoRosieand JD Samson and MEN. Prints will be on sale off the wall for $10 and all funds will go to the continuing efforts of Self Evident Truths.

To celebrate Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday, the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse will present a concert production of Woody Guthrie's American Song, an award-winning musical based on the life and music of the iconic American folk singer, written and directed by Peter Glazer, and performed by a cast of talented actor/musicians running from July 11 to July 22.

The Mall at Partridge Creek continues its tradition to engage and entertain its community with the launch of its 2012 Motor City Co-op Credit Union Summer Sounds concert series Memorial Day weekend. Now in its fifth year, Motor City Co-op Credit Union Summer Sounds is quickly becoming a much-anticipated tradition featuring the area's most popular bands, such as Sun Messengers, Boogie Dynomite, Parrots of the Caribbean, Square Pegz, and Big Will and the 360 Degree Band. The series starts May 26 when the Randy Brock Group takes the stage and will feature free daily concerts through Labor Day.
