Ocean State Theatre Company Presents GOD OF CARNAGE, 9/6

Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), currently celebrating its fifth year as the not-for-profit
producing entity at the historic Theatre By The Sea, is proud to announce the addition of the hilarious Tony Award-winning smash hit, God of Carnage to the summer line-up. The Rhode Island premiere presentation will enjoy a limited run at Theatre By The Sea from September 6-16, 2012.

The newest play from Yasmina Reza, the Tony® Award-winning author of Art, focuses on two sets of parents, who meet to discuss a fight between their sons at a nearby park. Although they set out to resolve the childhood quarrel with civility and maturity, they resort to childish antics themselves as the evening soon turns to chaos. God of Carnage contains adult language and content.

God of Carnage will have a preview performance on Thursday, September 6 at 7:30 pm. Opening weekend performances will be held on Friday at 7:30 pm, Saturday at 2:00 and 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:00 and 7:30 pm. Remaining performances will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at 7:30 pm, Thursday, September 13 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm, Friday, September 14 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, September 15 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm and Sunday, September 16 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm.

The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI. Tickets are $30 for the preview performance, $30, $35 and $40 for the Thursday matinee and $39, $44 and $49 for all other performances. Discount rates for groups of 20 or more are available by calling (401) 782-3800 x18. Tickets will be available at the box office Monday through Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00 pm and online anytime beginning Monday, May 7, 2012.
