Aurora Theatre Company opens its 21st season with Kristoffer Diaz's smart, hilarious powerslam of a play, THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY. Jon Tracy makes his main stage directing debut at Aurora with this sardonic critique of pop culture and political correctness.

Balagan Theatre has announced their 2012-2013 season, which includes Avenue Q, winner of the Tony® Award "Triple Crown"; Hedwig and the Angry Inch, featuring rising musical theatre star Jerick Hoffer (also known as drag cabaret chanteuse Jinkx Monsoon); August: Osage County, recipient of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama; and a musical to be announced at the Season Preview Party, Saturday, June 23, at 8 p.m.

Miracle Theatre Group, the Northwest's premier Latino arts and culture organization, will opening the doors of its community space, El Zocalo, for "JAM: July at Milagro" - three weeks of free creative classes for adults led by Miracle artisans, followed by a Sunday street fair for the whole family.

Due to a manufacturing issue, PS Classics has postponed the release of the Encores! cast recording of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG to July 10th. The 2-disc album, originally set to be released June 19th, features a 52-page full-color booklet, with essay, synopsis, lyrics, and over two dozen photos.

The one-man historical play 'Robert E. Lee - Shades of Gray' will be performed by Drama Critics Circle Award Winning Actor and Playwright Tom Dugan on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from June 11 through June 27, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at Theatre 40, 241 South Moreno Drive in Beverly Hills, CA, during the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

Joining Emmy Award-winner Loretta Swit on stage is Tony Award-winner Donna McKecknie, two time Tony Award-nominee Mary Testa, Love, Loss, and What I Wore veteran Roni Geva, and New York actor and director Rosalyn Coleman. Swit, McKecknie, Testa, and Geva have all been previously featured in Love, Loss, and What I Wore. This will be Coleman's first time with the production.

The world premier of Queerdo - Setting the Record Straight is set for the Hollywood Fringe Festival, this June. Written and performed by Ehrin Marlow (Crazy. Stupid. Love., Early and Often) Queerdo is an autobiographical one-man show, about an anxious, avocado eating, Christmas carol singing, pill popping, sexually repressed twenty-something who farted.

Electric Youth (EY), a dynamic ensemble of talented, young singer-dancers trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA), will headline the Fourth of July entertainment for U.S. Troops and families stationed abroad at Aviano Air Force Base. The Independence Day performance highlights EY's 9th European concert tour, featuring engagements throughout Austria and Italy from June 15 to July 8.
