Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. 45-year-old Malcolm-Jamal Warner, previous star of THE COSBY SHOW, spoke out about co-star Bill Cosby and the allegations against him which led to reruns of the show being removed from the air.

SAG-AFTRA mourns the passing of Joey Martin Feek, one half of the award-winning duo Joey + Rory. Feek passed away Friday, March 4, after a battle with cancer. She was 40.

Mesa Encore Theatre announces their 80th Anniversary 2016-2017 Season!

Spark Movement Collective's newest production will be a modern-day interpretation of Alice in Wonderland, set to premiere in March. Breathing new life into this literary classic, Alice in Wonderland will follow Victorian-era Alice as she travels through the rabbit hole to find herself in present day New York City. As Alice encounters tourists, a sea of iPhones, tea drinking street vendors, and other curiosities, Spark examines how one person's perception of 'normal' may be weird and zany to another. The production will feature choreography by Artistic Director Chelsea Koenig featuring an eclectic array of music.

Is it the end of an era? After playing for hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers and to people from across the country and around the world, award-winning singer/songwriter David Ippolito announces that he will perform a one-night concert commemorating 25 years as "That Guitar Man® from Central Park" on April 1st at 7:30PM in the Peter J. Sharp Theater at Symphony Space. The concert is both a celebration and a look back at a uniquely New York musical career, as the singer/songwriter begins to transition to a new career as a playwright. Classical Roots is an important Detroit Symphony Orchestra tradition.  For 37 years, the Classical Roots concert has celebrated African-American contributions to classical music.  Tonight, guest conductor Roderick Cox leads NEA Jazz Master Branford Marsalis and soprano Laquita Mitchell in paying tribute to Jessye Norman and the late Dr. Silas Norman Jr, with a program featuring Gershwin, Marsalis' own composition, and more.

The Landing Theatre Company, Houston's professional company dedicated to advancing American Playwriting, has a new home: The Landing Theatre @ the Docks!  LTC has taken over the theatre venue formally operated by Diverse Works and then the Catastrophic Theater at 1119 East Freeway.  The Landing Theatre Company boldly kicks off their 2015-16 season in its new home with Sam Shepherd's modern classic: Fool for Love.

Chicago's Griffin Theatre Company turns classic fairy tales inside out for the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center Presenting Series season's final family show: The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. William Massolia adapted the play from the book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith. With a host of wacky characters and silly songs, the production offers an 11 a.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee onSaturday, March 12 on the Patricia George Decio Theatre stage.
