Dixie has a new show! The fast talking Tupperware lady is coming to Charlotte with stories of what she learned after a hard night of drinking.

This weekend I visited a little gem filled with history, tucked away within a short drive from Charlotte, the Meroney Theater in Salisbury, NC. The original home to vaudeville and now home to The Piedmont Players. This group put on a sublimely wonderful production of CABARET. The cast was lead by Emily Ramirez, who played the promiscuously innocent, Sally Bowles. I couldn't take my eyes off Ramirez. She captured the character of Bowles' sexual persona onstage with charged dancing and emotionally connected vocals.

The beauty that is created when the two worlds of hip-hop with the entire Tchaikovsky score collide, is amazing.

You can change the world when you can change your mind.

This production connects the material to a contemporary audience with romance and danger.

GENERATION#D created and directed by Dominik Buttner was received with standing ovations, because it was truthful, raw and moving.

Whether you're a car ride away, or a short jaunt by plane, Charleston County, SC, has wonderful entertainment picks this fall.
