GUYS AND DOLLS Opens 6/17 at Family Musical Theatre
May 21, 2011

'If a Guy did not have a Doll, who would holler on him?' Step right up, and bet your money as Family Musical Theatre opens their season with the musical comedy 'Guys and Dolls'. Based on a book by Damon Runyon, this 'fable of Broadway' captures the 1940s spirit of New York stereotypes: gamblers, entertainers, hopeless romantics and church-following missionaries. Popular tunes such as 'Adelaide's Lament', 'If I Were a Bell', and 'Luck Be a Lady' by Frank Loesser add color and insight to the characters. With multiple Tony Award Nominations, including Best Musical and Best Choreography, and a successful film make this musical on of Broadway's best successes. This is one show you will not want to miss this summer.
