Set for Seattle Shakespeare Co's Upcoming SeasonAugust 8, 2011Seattle Shakespeare Company announced plans to produce half its season at Intiman Playhouse and half its season at Center House Theatre for 2011-2012. A Midsummer Night's Dream and Pygmalion will be performed at Intiman Playhouse, while Coriolanus and As You Like It will be performed at Center House Theatre. Also, the previously announced performance dates for As You Like It have changed to May 30 through June 24.

OSL to Perform Two Free 9/11 Commemoration Concerts, 9/10 & 9/11 August 8, 2011To commemorate the 10th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) will take part in two free performances presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. at 5 pm on September 10 and 11 in Nelson A. Rockefeller Park. This special presentation will feature performances by OSL with Paul Taylor Dance Company; the Limón Dance Company with Voices of Ascension; and additional artists to be announced. The program also will include a new work created by Jessica Lang. The event was made possible with the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts, The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation, Con Edison and the LuEsther T. Mertz Charitable Trust.
Ars Nova now Accepting Applications for Play Group 2012August 8, 2011Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) is now accepting applications for Play Group, a vibrant and eclectic group of emerging writers who gather twice a month at Ars Nova to share new work and get peer feedback. The group offers members the chance to develop their plays with peer support; to be inspired by each otherʼs work; to form collaborative relationships; and to build a strong sense of community within Ars Nova. All emerging playwrights are eligible for membership.
