This July and August, Lincoln Center Festival and Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University, will bring the acclaimed Royal Shakespeare Company to New York for an unprecedented six-week residency. For the first time in its history of visiting the United States, the RSC will perform five of Shakespeare's plays-As You Like It, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, and The Winter's Tale-in repertory for 44 performances with a cast whose members will have worked together for three intense years with RSC Artistic Director Michael Boyd by the time they arrive in New York.

This month, to mark the occasion, The Al Hirschfeld Foundation celebrates the life and legacy of the artist with two upcoming events at Doyle New York: The new official website of Al Hirschfeld, www.AlHirschfeldFoundation.org launched yesterday, June 20th in commemoration of the artist's 108th birthday. The site features theater, film, television, music, and dance drawings, as seen through the eyes and drawn by the hand of Al Hirschfeld. The site gives fans access to over 10,000 works searchable by personality, production, date, publisher, and genre. Never before has a Hirschfeld exhibition, published collection or online exhibition of this size been available online.
