Featuring film and television star andNAACP Image Award Winner Cassi Davis, this Broadway style musical is produced by Kenneth Green, directed by Seret Scott with musical direction by Keith Wilson.

Chris Newcomer, who audiences may recall seeing in the Eagle Theatre's production of Chicago in October of 2011, recently garnered attention for successfully landing the role of Mary Sunshine in the Ambassador Theatre's Chicago. This role, which is the same one that Newcomer played while performing at the Eagle Theatre, is Newcomer's first Broadway credit.

Cole Porter's Can-Can hits the Westchester Broadway Theatre stage this Fall. Written by Caleb Porter and Abe Burrows, the story revolves around t'he lovely Pistache, who owns the only café that features the sexy and provocative Can-Can. She spars with Aristide Forestier, a self-righteous judge, determined to close all Parisian dance halls. The show features the provocativly delightful Can-Can, the high-energy and physically demanding music hall dance which is a hybrid of the Polka and The Quadrille. First danced in circa 1822, it was outlawed for a number of years as immoral and prohibited by the police! How times have changed!'

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 16th Annual Festival from August 10th- 26. FringeNYC will offer programming by 187 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies in 20 venues in Lower Manhattan. With attendance topping 75,000 people, FringeNYC is New York City's fifth largest cultural event (just behind New York International Auto Show, Tribeca Film Festival, New York City Marathon, and New York Comic Con). The Juilliard School welcomes the inaugural class of its new Master of Fine Arts in Drama program this Fall 2012. Eight graduate actors have been accepted into the highly selective program and will begin classes this September. Juilliard's M.F.A. in Drama is a four-year conservatory program in actor training providing the tools necessary to meet the demands of an ever-evolving performing arts career and preparing young artists to become versatile and dynamic leaders in their field. The M.F.A program joins Juilliard's four-year B.F.A. program, headed by James Houghton, the Richard Rodgers Director of the Drama Division.

On August 23rd, Chicago Opera Theater's (COT) Opera Underground - COT's young person's social club - will start a new tradition with its first annual Booze Cruise - "I'm On A Boat!". Guests will coast down the Chicago River and Lake Michigan on Chicago Cruises' "Summer of George." They will enjoy wine, beer, an assortment of hors d'oeuvres, and opera selections performed by COT singers.
