ArtsHub Purchases ScreenHub Website
Australia's number one film industry news and jobs website ScreenHub has been bought by leading arts and entertainment industry news and jobs portal, artsHub.
ScreenHub will join the artsHub team in August, and will continue working as ScreenHub under the artsHub Holdings P/L umbrella.
Simon Baker, Chair of artsHub Holdings and ex-CEO of realestate.com.au, is behind the move and believes it's a logical progression for the two entities.
ScreenHub is the go-to site for screen industry news, jobs and opportunities, just as artsHub has been for the arts for many years. Working 'under the same roof' will mean increased coordination and improved delivery of products and services: more jobs, more news, more opportunities for anyone working in the arts or film.
Simon Baker commented:
"This deal brings together the leaders in the arts and screen industries to provide all Australian's with access to high quality industry news, reviews, and jobs. This is great news for our advertisers as they now have access to a broader audience while for our readers, they now have access to more news, jobs, reviews, and industry information."
Engaging up to 100,000 people per month, artsHub has an extremely broad reach within the Australian arts scene, and will now be able to significantly build on this via the acquisition of ScreenHub.
For artsHub Holdings CEO, Andrew Murray, this fusion of arts and film makes perfect sense, and combining the services offered by Screen Hub and artsHub will ultimately deliver enormous benefits to the Australian arts and film communities.
In Murray's words:
“We all know that artsHub is the first port of call for anyone seeking work or industry news across the Australian arts sector, and so we welcome ScreenHub to join us and continue its work as a pivotal site for the national film industry.”
