Continuing the historical legacy of the famed Apollo Theater to give a stage to future stars, CENTRIC announced today the debut of the new original series APOLLO LIVE.

Syfy is greenlighting Reunion Pictures' new series pilot High Moon, an adaptation of John Christopher's best-selling novel The Lotus Caves, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President, Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Reunion Pictures is producing the 90-minute pilot which is expected to begin production in Vancouver this fall.

Syfy has finalized a deal with feature filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable) and television Executive Producer/Showrunner Marti Noxon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Mad Men, Fright Night) to produce the scripted pilot project Proof, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head Original Content, Universal Cable Productions.

Garth Brooks has been added to the lineup of performers appearing on TEACHERS ROCK, a special tribute concert celebrating teachers and education which will feature some of the biggest names in music, film and sports. The special, which will benefit several nonprofit organizations, will be broadcast from Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Friday, August 17 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). Brooks joins previously announced performers including five-time GRAMMY(R) Award winner Carrie Underwood, country artist Dierks Bentley, pop group Fun. and two-time GRAMMY Award nominee Josh Groban.

BoHo Theatre begins its 2012/2013 season by 'returning to its roots with an intimate production of the acclaimed musical The Spitfire Grill by James Valcq and Fred Alley.' The production runs September 14th through October 14th, 2012, at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park, and is directed by BoHo company member Anna Hammonds. The Milk Can Theatre Company is currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2012 COW Reading Series. COW or Comments on Work is a new reading series hosted by The Milk Can Theatre Company in New York City. Designed to be a casual reading of excerpts from new works, works in progress or otherwise un-produced plays, the COW series is meant to foster the development of original and exciting work. Taking place in unexpected locations and featuring unexpected talent, each COW will hopefully spark interesting conversation and commentary, providing feedback for the playwrights at a much earlier stage.

New York nonprofit performing arts institution IATI THEATER presents internationally acclaimed dance and aerial company Dzul Dance presents Reincarnations as part of the 2012 Performing Arts Marathon. A revival of Artistic Director Javier Dzul's 2007 choreography, Reincarnations, will be presented at the Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Avenue (at 25 Street) in Manhattan, on Friday, August 3rd & Saturday, August 4th at 7:00 pm.

Tony-nominee Jeremy Jordan will provide all nine voices for an a cappella "surprise" bonus track on the forthcoming See Rock City & Other Destinations original off-Broadway cast recording produced by Yellow Sound Label. The piece was arranged by the show's orchestrator Justin Hatchimonji and features a song from the Drama Desk-nominated score.
