Pace University's Lubin School of Business has launched a new Arts and Entertainment Management (AEM) concentration that addresses the growing interest of business students in the management side of industries within the broad range of the arts/entertainment field. Management majors concentrating in Arts and Entertainment Management earn a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree that prepares them for careers in theater companies, museums, dance companies, art galleries, talent representation and management companies, and television production firms, as well as in related support services.

The official launch of the 2012/13 season of the Colorado Symphony takes place September 28 - 30 at Boettcher Concert Hall in the Denver Performing Arts Complex and features some of the most powerful music in the classical repertoire. Conductor, Gilbert Varga, leads superstar Andre Watts in the mighty Brahms Second Piano Concerto, and Tchaikovsky's Sixth Symphony, "Pathetique."

On Oct 18, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production How I Became a Pirate, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, directed by David and Julie Payne. The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run Oct 18 - Dec 28, 2012. Performances are 10 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, select Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For specific show dates please check our website. How I Became a Pirate is recommended for ages four and up. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating. WFUV Radio Releases FUV LIVE 15

New York's Rock and Roots radio station WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org) is releasing FUV Live 15, the latest collection of exclusive, live performances from its own Studio A, in time for its fall membership drive, which begins on September 27. The 20-track CD includes performances from a broad range artists - veterans like Bonnie Raitt and Ryan Adams, indie favorites such as Blitzen Trapper, Feist, and The Shins, and hot newcomers like Gary Clark Jr., Dawes, and Alabama Shakes. Nick Cordero, an original member of the first national tour cast of ROCK OF AGES, joins the Broadway cast of the five-time Tony nominated hit musical on September 24, 2012 at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street). Cordero, who will make his Broadway debut, is stepping in for Adam Dannheisser as "Dennis," the owner of The Bourbon Room, while he is on leave to play a role in Disgraced at Lincoln Center Theater's Claire Tow Theater from September 24 - November 18, 2012. Dannheisser returns to ROCK OF AGES on November 19, 2012.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and Michael Bush jointly announced today that, after eight years, Mr. Bush is moving on from his position as the artistic director of the O'Neill's Cabaret & Performance Conference due to increased professional obligations directing in New York and regionally. These obligations include the further development of the new musicals STORMY WEATHER, THE PIPER, and his recently acclaimed NYMF production of HIMSELF AND NORA. He will also be a founding partner in a new company, Tritone Productions, which is dedicated to the development of new work.
