Acclaimed lyricist and songwriter Alan Bergman joins the program for the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Songbook series concert, Ann Hampton Callaway - The Streisand Songbook, at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Sunday, February 10, at 7:30 pm. Bergman is known for a myriad of hits, including Barbra Streisand's songs "The Way We Were," "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," and songs from her 1983 movie Yentl. He will sing some songs with Callaway in an evening that will take audiences on a journey through the timeless songbook of Streisand, including Callaway's own songs written for the legendary artist.

Berkshire Theatre Group has announced that it is the recipient of the Massachusetts' Cultural Council's Youth Reach Grant which will fund BTG PLAYS! partnering with JRC Youth. BTG PLAYS! with JRC Youth will provide twelve at-risk teens from Pittsfield's Juvenile Resource Center with theatre skills to build confidence and communication ability, and will train them to be assistant teachers/mentors for children in BTG playwriting residencies.

The Concerts for City Greens, the free outdoor series that brings the sounds of music to the heart of Midtown, hosts "A Giant, Wild Party," a musical tribute to the celebrated composer/lyricist/librettist Michael John LaChiusa, on Wednesday October 3 at 6:30pm at Tudor City Greens. (Rain date: Thursday October 4 at 6:30pm.) Feting the 2-time Emmy winner and 5-time Tony nominee, whose new musical "Giant," opens at the Public Theater this fall, will be the Broadway veterans D.C. Anderson ("Queen of the Mist," "Rebecca," "Phantom") and Leah Hocking ("Wild Party," "Billy Elliott," "Mama Mia," "Hairspray"); the cabaret legend and Broadway star KT Sullivan"; and the singer/songwriter and actress Katie Thompson (who is featured in LaChiusa's "Giant").
