The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, today announced over 70 additional shows taking place at more than 25 venues throughout New York City, to its 2012 schedule, highlighted by two events in partnership with The Paley Center for Media: a reunion of the creative minds behind the landmark TV series The Ben Stiller Show and a Conversation with Denis Leary in celebration of his new publication Merry F***in' Christmas. In addition, the NYCF's New York's Funniest Stand-Up competition, brought to you in partnership with JetBlue, and the festival's Comics To Watch program will offer emerging comics a platform to showcase their work to industry professionals in front of a live audience.

Big changes are coming to Seattle's downtown waterfront - a new seawall that protects the city and improves habitat, the world's largest-diameter bored tunnel to connect the city and the region, and 26 blocks of new parks, paths and public space that will reconnect Seattle to Elliott Bay. As part of The Next Fifty - a six-month celebration of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair and its legacy - Seattle Center is hosting a special event on Monday to help people envision what the future holds.

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder withbook by Robert L. Freedman; music by Steven Lutvak; lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak; and directed by Darko Tresnjak. A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder will be on stage October 11 to November 11 and will feature Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays, playing eight of the more than 20 characters.

Fair Lawn Recreation Department's resident theatre company, Old Library Theatre, presents Jekyll & Hyde, a gothic musical conceived for the stage by Steve Cuden and Frank Wildhorn. Under the direction of Patrick Stevens, of Dover, and musical direction of Anthony Bevilacqua, of Garfield, Jekyll & Hyde will be performed at the George Frey Center for Performing Arts from October 12-14, 19-21 & 26 and 28, with shows at 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. The owner of Pink Lotus Yoga (PLY) in Lakewood firmly believes that the practice of yoga ultimately is about fostering a sense of community, not just within the four walls of her Lakewood studio but in the surrounding community at large - through outreach and involvement. That is why Camino is sponsoring "Bend for Beck," a fundraiser for a local nonprofit organization, on Saturday, September 29 at her studio. All proceeds benefit the Creative Arts Therapies programs at Beck Center for the Arts.
