Multi award-winning comedian, Paul Mecurio, and monthly favorite act, Dueling Pianos, will welcome in 2013 at Comix At Foxwoods with an evening of dancing, drinking and fun, lasting until 3 a.m. The New Year's Eve festivities will begin at 9 p.m., when Mecurio, will showcase his hilarious routine on the Comix stage, followed by Dueling Pianos, who will hit the stage at 10:30 p.m. New Year's Eve party favors, a champagne toast and a post-midnight dessert buffet will follow the two exceptional comedy performances. 2013 Comix Countdown tickets can be purchased in advance for $50 (general admission) or $125 (VIP admission). Buy your tickets early, as prices are subject to change as New Year's Eve approaches. A two drink minimum applies to all tickets. This show is intended for mature audiences only.

In keeping with the broader vision of inclusivity and relevance within the community that has characterized the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) under Music Director Marin Alsop, the BSO announces a new pilot Orchestra Fellows Program. The BSO's Orchestra Fellows program is conducted in partnership with Sphinx, the non-profit organization that seeks to overcome the cultural stereotype of classical music and promote diversity in the arts. The Orchestra Fellowship is intended as a year-round mentorship program for talented young musicians of color. Tami Lee Hughes, a violinist and Baton Rouge, La. native, has been appointed the Orchestra Fellow for the program's inaugural 2012-13 season.

Canadian Stage will present an original production of The Arsonists, a dark comedy by Swiss playwright Max Frisch that explores our all-too-human ability to ignore acts of evil. Translated by Alistair Beaton, the Canadian premiere of this famous political farce is brought to life by director Morris Panych and set designer Ken MacDonald, the creative duo and real-life partners behind Canadian Stage's 2009 runaway hit, Art.

"The Berenstain Bears LIVE in Family Matters, The Musical" will launch the 2012-13 Family Festivities Series at Westport Country Playhouse on Sunday, November 11, 1 and 4 p.m. Tickets are $18. The Community Theatre of Little Rock will present its Christmas Musical 'A 1940's Radio Christmas Carol". Show dates are November 16st, 17nd, 22nd, 23th, 24th, December 1st and 2nd at 7:30 pm and October 18th and December 2nd at 2pm, to be held at the PUBLIC Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, next to Horn's Men's Store in downtown Little Rock. Regular admission is $16 for adults and $14 for military, students and seniors age 65 and over. Groups of 10 or more can get in for $14. Children age six and under are given free admission. Dialogue with Three Chords presents "Lovecraft in Brooklyn" a staged reading of a new work from playwright Stephen Gracia that explores H.P. Lovecraft's tumultuous time living in Brooklyn while newly married. The reading also includes the curtain raiser "When I Dream, I See Strange Men: The Ascension of Elias" which deals with an imagined alien abduction. Both pieces are directed by Michael LoPorto. The show also features live music from Tommy Lombardozzi on October 25 downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with a $3 suggested donation.

Jetset Getset (JSGS) is stepping up to help musicians who are down on their luck. The teenage country music band will perform a concert November 7 at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill in Cincinnati, Ohio, to celebrate the release of their new album "Saturday Night" (Playback Records). Proceeds from CD sales at the show will benefit Play It Forward, a nonprofit organization that supports musicians during times of crisis.

Austin Pendleton will step into the role of Lebedev beginning Friday, October 26 in his production of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV at Classic Stage Company (135 East 13th Street) replacing veteran actor Louis Zorich, who has withdrawn due to a foot injury. Pendleton performed the role of Lebedev in a 1990 production at Yale Repertory. IVANOV, which stars Ethan Hawke, Joely Richardson and Juliet Rylance, and is directed by Pendleton, is currently in previews, prior to an official opening Sunday, November 4. The cast also features Glenn Fitzgerald, Annette Hunt, Stephanie Janssen, Roberta Maxwell, George Morfogen, James Patrick Nelson, Anthony Newfield, Jonathan Marc Sherman, and Anne Troupe. IVANOV will play a limited engagement through Sunday, December 9.

West Palm Beach's only professional multi-award-winning resident theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, presents its 6th annual Master Playwrights Series featuring the work of Lanford Wilson, Jean Genet and Wendy Wasserstein beginning on December 10th with additional dates in February and April at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). Inspired and produced by Mark Perlberg and sponsored by Nancy and Jay Parker, the Master Playwright Series invites audience participation, discussion and an overview of the work and themes of each playwright in addition to staged readings of their work.

The Met: HD Live in Schools, a national program that provides students, teachers, and administrators with educational resources tied to select live transmissions of Metropolitan Opera performances, and arranges for students to attend the live Met HD transmissions locally, will reach more students and teachers in its fifth season than ever before. The program, which provides educational resources geared to select performances from The Met: Live in HD-the Met's award-winning series of live opera transmissions to movie theaters around the world-will reach approximately 15,000 students in 29 school districts in 21 states during the 2012-13 season.
