Portland Shakespeare Project today announced that Michael E. Nehring, Professor of Theatre at Chapman University in Orange, California, has joined Portland Shakespeare Project as the Education Director and Associate Artistic Director.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival recently announced the addition of five new members to its board of governors: D. Matthew Moscon, Wayne L. Niederhauser, Ed Golembiewski, Ann Crocker, and Ken Adelman. These new members bring different and valuable insights to help forward the mission of the Festival. They will begin their three-year term starting this month. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU), now celebrating its 21st year as a not-for-profit service organization, has announced a lineup of Broadway stars performing at their annual TRU Love Benefit, Making the Impossible Possible!. The National Theatre's award-winning production of War Horse last night (25 October 2012) celebrated its fifth anniversary in London with a special performance at the New London Theatre, Drury Lane. Saturday, October 27, from 4:30pm - 5:30pm, Ringling College and Sarasota Opera will host a panel discussion on the works of Windsor McCay and the creation of the new opera Little Nemo in Slumberland at the Selby Gallery located on the campus of the Ringling College of Art and Design. Maestro Victor DeRenzi will moderate the discussion and the panel will include composer Daron Hagen, librettist J.D. McClatchy, and members of both the artistic team and cast of Little Nemo in Slumberland.
