The National Theatre of Great Britain's fourth season of National Theatre Live, the ground-breaking initiative to broadcast live performances from the National's stages to cinemas worldwide, will continue in 2013 with Arthur Wing Pinero's The Magistrate on January 17, Alan Bennett's People on March 21 and James Graham's This House on May 16. Since its first season, which began in June 2009 with the acclaimed production of Phedre starring Helen Mirren, over one million people have now experienced the National's work on movie screens worldwide.

Casting is now complete for Seussical, a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza written by Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who also wrote the hits Ragtime and Once On This Island. The two have lovingly brought to life all of the favorite Dr. Seuss characters from a host of the author's most popular books.

Now in its 37th year, The Rep's production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, sponsored by MillerCoors, is Milwaukee's beloved holiday tradition which has delighted audiences for generations at The Pabst Theater. Adapted by Joseph Hanreddy and Edward Morgan, Dickens' classic masterpiece brightens the holiday season with its beautiful carols and timeless message of hope, peace and love and the true meaning of the holidays. Milwaukee Repertory Theater is delighted to announce that Aaron Posner returns to The Rep to direct A Christmas Carol. Posner directed The Rep's To Kill a Mockingbird, which broke all-time attendance records last season, as well as the lyrical, beautifully-realized production of My Name is Asher Lev in 2010. This will be the first time that Posner has directed A Christmas Carol. This year's cast includes Milwaukee actors Marti Gobel and Jonathan Wainwright; Rep newcomers Melody Betts, Renata Friedman, Melisa Pereyra, Luigi Sottile and accomplished stage actor Christopher Donahue as Ebenezer Scrooge. Returning to The Rep this year are former Rep Artistic Intern Ensemble members Alexander Pawlowski and Emily Trask and frequent Rep guest artist Jonathan Smoots. Also rounding out the cast are Rep Associate Artists Angela Iannone and Gerard Neugent and Chicago actor Erik Hellman. A Christmas Carol runs at The Pabst Theater from November 29 - December 24.

Aurora Theatre assembles the best children's performers in the region, bringing them to Gwinnett County for the series Aurora Children's Playhouse. This holiday season will be double the fun with an expanded schedule including performances both at 10 & 11 AM the three Saturday's in December leading up to Christmas. Parents are always looking out for inexpensive activities that are fun for the whole family; Aurora Children's Playhouse has them.

For the first time in its history the Fulton Theatre will make it rain on stage, in a dazzling stage effect that will bring the beloved MGM film Singin' in the Rain to life in downtown Lancaster. The Fulton's artistic director Marc Robin directs and choreographs. 'I have directed this show six times before but I have never had the opportunity to produce it exactly as I wanted, for various reasons. I am so excited because for the first time I have the ability to spread the rain effect over the entire stage, not to mention having the absolute best cast a director could ask for.'

Remy Bumppo's presentation of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell begins with four previews Thanksgiving week. Given the timing and Shaw's famed social concerns, it seemed an appropriate opportunity to benefit our community.

"Angelina Ballerina, The Musical," featuring a feisty little mouse with big dreams of becoming a prima ballerina, will be part of Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series on Sunday, December 9, 1 and 4 p.m. Tickets are $18. Singer and songwriter Morgan James will be releasing her debut album Morgan James Live (Epic Records) on December 4th. Recorded at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, an intimate jazz club nestled within New York City's Time Warner Center, the album features James's stirring renditions of standards from the repertoire of Nina Simone.

FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh announced today that tickets for the long-awaited production of MARY POPPINS will go on sale to the public on Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. Orlando's most eagerly awaited stage production will play at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre January 8 - 13, 2013.

Full casting and the creative team have been announced for the limited, pre-Broadway engagement of NERDS, A New Musical Comedy at North Carolina Theatre's AJ Fletcher Theatre the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. The show will run from January 18, 2013 through February 3, 2013.

Broadway at Birdland today announced the continuation of the partnership with multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn with two holiday-themed "Frank & Friends" concerts. These evenings will celebrate the holiday songs and favorite performers from the composer's wide range of work in popular, theatrical and classical music. All profits will go to The Actors Fund, a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in the performing arts and entertainment.

The Hollywood Fringe Festival (www.hollywoodfringe.org) announced today that the fourth annual festival will be a week longer than the three previous fests. The fourth annual festival will take place June 13th-30th after a week of Previews taking place June 6th-11th. The festival is now one of the largest uncensored performing arts festivals in the country, and extending the length will expand opportunities for both artists and audience members. The festival sold 25,000 tickets in 2012, giving back all $200,000 to participating artists and venues. Festival organizers feel confident that an additional seven days of Fringe will help to keep ticket sales growing at a steady pace.
