The Buck Creek Players will continue their 2012-2013 season 'In the Spotlight' with the Yuletide fantasy A Little Christmas Spirit, written by Pat Cook. Opening Friday, November 30th, and running for three weekends through Sunday, December 16th, curtain times will be at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with 2:30 p.m. matinees offered on Sundays. Posner directed The Rep's To Kill a Mockingbird, which broke all-time attendance records last season, as well as the lyrical, beautifully-realized production of My Name is Asher Lev in 2010. This will be the first time that Posner has directed A Christmas Carol. This year's cast includes Milwaukee actors Marti Gobel and Jonathan Wainwright; Rep newcomers Melody Betts, Renata Friedman, Melisa Pereyra, Luigi Sottile and accomplished stage actor Christopher Donahue as Ebenezer Scrooge. Returning to The Rep this year are former Rep Artistic Intern Ensemble members Alexander Pawlowski and Emily Trask and frequent Rep guest artist Jonathan Smoots. Also rounding out the cast are Rep Associate Artists Angela Iannone and Gerard Neugent and Chicago actor Erik Hellman. A Christmas Carol runs at The Pabst Theater from November 29 - December 24.

For the first time in its history the Fulton Theatre will make it rain on stage, in a dazzling stage effect that will bring the beloved MGM film Singin' in the Rain to life in downtown Lancaster. The Fulton's artistic director Marc Robin directs and choreographs. 'I have directed this show six times before but I have never had the opportunity to produce it exactly as I wanted, for various reasons. I am so excited because for the first time I have the ability to spread the rain effect over the entire stage, not to mention having the absolute best cast a director could ask for.'
Remy Bumppo's presentation of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell begins with four previews Thanksgiving week. Given the timing and Shaw's famed social concerns, it seemed an appropriate opportunity to benefit our community.
