Disney's The Lion King will complete its record-breaking run at The Bristol Hippodrome on Saturday, having generated over £6 million for the local economy. The Pearl Theatre Company has announced casting for the world premiere of And Away We Go, a new play written expressly for The Pearl by four-time Tony Award-winner Terrence McNally. New plays bookend The Pearl's first season at its new home on 42nd Street, which just began with the premiere of Charles Morey's critically acclaimed Figaro.

Shawn Colvin, Shelby Lynne, and special guest Steve Earle, have been added to the lineup for the 8th annual Holiday Cheer for FUV concert on Wednesday, December 5th at 8:00 p.m. at the Beacon Theatre. Everyman Theatre has announced that it will move into its new home on Fayette Street during the week of November 19, 2012. The administrative offices will be closed during this week in order to facilitate the move and then celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Moving trucks will arrive at the Charles Street location at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 20th.

The Ford's Theatre Society announced that the cast of the 2012 production of "A Christmas Carol" is partnering with Martha's Table to create a donation drive inspired by the themes of charity in Dickens's holiday classic. During the curtain calls for performances of "A Christmas Carol," the cast will collect monetary donations on behalf of the Washington-based non-profit Martha's Table. Patrons can also make donations through the Ford's Theatre Box Office. All donation checks should be made payable to "Martha's Table." "A Christmas Carol" plays at Ford's Theatre from November 16 through December 30, 2012.

Songs from the engagement will be included in the forthcoming Concord release, 'It's Magic, the Songs of Sammy Cahn' due out spring 2013. Mr. Tyrell will open at the Café Carlyle on November 27th and play through December 31st.
