STAGE TUBE: SHREK Tour Premieres New Song 'Forever' on Facebook October 13, 2010An entirely new work, SHREK THE MUSICAL is based on the story and characters from William Steig's book Shrek!, as well as the DreamWorks Animation film Shrek, the first chapter of the Shrek movie series. SHREK THE MUSICAL tells the story of a swamp-dwelling ogre who goes on a life-changing adventure to reclaim the deed to his land. Joined by a wise-cracking donkey, this unlikely hero fights a fearsome dragon, rescues a feisty princess and learns that real friendship and true love aren't only found in fairy tales. The national tour of the production recently kicked off and is now underway. STAGE TUBE: Giffords Visit LOMBARDIOctober 13, 2010Producers Tony Ponturo and Fran Kirmser present LOMBARDI at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre this fall starring Dan Lauria as Vince Lombardi and Judith Light as Marie Lombardi, written by Academy Award winning playwright Eric Simonson and directed by Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail. Joining Ponturo and Kirmser as special producing partner is the National Football League, marking the organization's first foray on Broadway. LOMBARDI, a new American play, is based on the best-selling biography When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi, by Pulitzer Prize winning author David Maraniss. Recently, NFL Hall of Fame Halfback Frank Gifford visited the cast backstage along with his wife Kathie Lee and her Today Show co-host Hoda Kotb.

Glenn Close Joins Garber, Wilson et al. in NORMAL HEART Benefit, 10/18October 12, 2010Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Glenn Close will play the role of 'Dr. Emma Brookner' in the upcoming, Joel Grey-directed, 25th anniversary staged reading of Larry Kramer's ground-breaking play, The Normal Heart. She joins previously announced cast members Victor Garber, Jason Butler Harner, John Benjamin Hickey, Joe Mantello, Jack McBrayer, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Patrick Wilson in the one-night-only event that will benefit The Actors Fund and Friends in Deed. Jackson, Damon & Hamm '30 Rock' Live Episode to get East and West Coast BroadcastsOctober 12, 2010EW's Ausiello Files reports that Cheyenne Jackson will be returning to NBC's 30 Rock on the October 14th live episode. The FINIAN'S RAINBOW star first appeared on the hit comedy on November 14, 2009, and made a second appearance in the November 20, 2009 episode. The October 14 live episode will be aired live from NBC's studio 8H for both east and west coast audiences. No additional details about the upcoming October 14 live episode have been revealed.
KRAPP, 39 Gets UK Premiere this FallOctober 12, 2010The New York Times reports today that Michael Laurence's Krapp, 39, the solo show that premiered in the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival and ran Off Broadway at the Soho Playhouse in 2009 will make its UK premiere this fall, with productions in Dublin and London. Krapp, 39 will play the Tristan Bates Theater in London's Covent Garden from November 22 through December 4, and from December 13 through December 22, with a stop at Axis-Ballymun in Dublin Dec from 7 through December 11. George Demas directs.
