The first major revival of David Hirson's Olivier Award-winning comedy LA BÊTE starring Tony and Olivier Award winner Mark Rylance, Tony and Emmy Award winner David Hyde Pierce, and BAFTA Award winner (and star of 'Absolutely Fabulous') Joanna Lumley began previews at Broadway's Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) on September 23, 2010. This new production, helmed by acclaimed director Matthew Warchus (God of Carnage, Boeing-Boeing, The Norman Conquests), will officially open October 14, 2010. This immediately follows a limited summer engagement at the Comedy Theatre in London's West End from June 26-September 4, 2010 with opening night of July 7. The New York Times has confirmed that THE ORPHAN'S HOME CYCLE will aim for a fall 2010 Broadway opening, as opposed to rushing the show in this spring, as we previously speculated. While the show had the opportunity to transfer from its current home Off-Broadway at the Signature Theatre into the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway for a spring opening, the producers and director Michael Wilson have opted to take the extra time to better prepare the show for the move.

Just in time for Halloween, Glee: The Music, The Rocky Horror Glee Show, hits stores on Tuesday October 19. Paying homage to Richard O'Brien's cult musical masterpiece, the Glee cast injects their distinctive style to such Rocky Horror Show classics as 'Time Warp,' 'Damn it, Janet' and 'Touch A Touch A Touch A Touch Me' (see below for full track listing). This special Rocky Horror Show themed episode airs Tuesday, October 26 at 8:00 pm et/pt on FOX.

Rehearsals begin today, Monday 11 October, for Ian Talbot's production of Ken Hill's The Invisible Man at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Rehearsals have begun for the world premiere of Randy Newman's 'Harps and Angels,' which begins previews at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum on November 10, opens November 21 and continues through December 22, 2010.

The New York Times reports today that MERCHANT OF VENICE star Al Pacino will star in a new movie from HBO about Phil Spector, the famed music producer who is not in prison (possibly for life) on murder charges. David Mamet will write the script for the as-of-yet-untitled project. Rain Man director, Barry Levinson, is executive producing.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that The Office will air a GLEE tribute episode, in which the Office staff congregates to watch the FOX hit show, sometime in the near future. No air dates have been revealed yet, however Entertainment Weekly does confirm that the GLEE stars themselves will not be making cameos. Stay tuned for details! The Office airs on NBC Thursdays at 9 EST.

Reps for LOVE NEVER DIES have confirmed to the New York Times this morning that indeed the production will not open on Broadway as planned in the Spring of 2011. Adrian Bryan-Brown of the Boneau Bryan Brown agency wrote in an e-mail to the Times: '‘Love Never Dies' will not be opening on Broadway this Spring...Further news about the show will be announced shortly.'
