This new production, helmed by acclaimed director Matthew Warchus (God of Carnage, Boeing-Boeing, The Norman Conquests), will officially open October 14, 2010. This immediately follows a limited summer engagement at the Comedy Theatre in London's West End from June 26-September 4, 2010 with opening night of July 7. ORPHAN'S HOME CYCLE Abandons Broadway AspirationsOctober 11, 2010The New York Times has confirmed that THE ORPHAN'S HOME CYCLE will aim for a fall 2010 Broadway opening, as opposed to rushing the show in this spring, as we previously speculated. While the show had the opportunity to transfer from its current home Off-Broadway at the Signature Theatre into the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway for a spring opening, the producers and director Michael Wilson have opted to take the extra time to better prepare the show for the move.

Al Pacino Stars as 'Phil Spector' in New Mamet Film for HBOOctober 8, 2010The New York Times reports today that MERCHANT OF VENICE star Al Pacino will star in a new movie from HBO about Phil Spector, the famed music producer who is not in prison (possibly for life) on murder charges. David Mamet will write the script for the as-of-yet-untitled project. Rain Man director, Barry Levinson, is executive producing.

LOVE NEVER DIES Opening Likely in Melbourne in 2011October 7, 2010Reps for LOVE NEVER DIES have confirmed to the New York Times this morning that indeed the production will not open on Broadway as planned in the Spring of 2011. Adrian Bryan-Brown of the Boneau Bryan Brown agency wrote in an e-mail to the Times: '‘Love Never Dies' will not be opening on Broadway this Spring...Further news about the show will be announced shortly.'
