This immediately follows a limited summer engagement at the Comedy Theatre in London's West End from June 26-September 4, 2010 with opening night of July 7. RIALTO CHATTER: Robin Williams Heading Back to Broadway in 'TIGER?'October 18, 2010The New York Times reports today that Robin Williams may be returning to the Great White Way in Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, an Iraq War play - a Pulitzer Prize finalist - written by Rajiv Joseph that last had a critically successful run in Los Angeles. The production could open as early as the Spring of 2011 assuming that a deal can be reached with Williams and producers Robyn Goodman and Kevin McCollum.

2011 Tony Awards Still HomelessOctober 18, 2010As BroadwayWorld reported this summer, the Tony Awards is in search of a new home for 2011 and beyond, now that their 13 year occupation of Radio City Music Hall in midtown is complete. (Radio City will be occupied with a Cirque du Soliel production during Tony time next year). While the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, who present the Tonys, have not yet released an official statement on a specific move, published reports have suggested a likely option was the 3,400+ seat United Palace Theater in Washington Heights.

Richard Dreyfuss Leads Culture Project's IMAGINING HESCHEL, 11/4 - 11/28October 15, 2010Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) will present the world premiere of Imagining Heschel, a new play by Colin Greer, directed by Larry Moss, who was last represented Off-Broadway by his acclaimed production of Syringa Tree. The two-character play will feature actors Richard Dreyfuss and Rinde Eckert. Performances begin at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, NYC) on Thursday, November 4th, 2010, and continue through Sunday, November 28th, 2010, for 20 performances only. BILLY ELLIOT Tour Takes Final Bow in Chicago, 11/28October 15, 2010Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today, along with Broadway In Chicago, that the first national tour of Billy Elliot the Musical, the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, will now play its final performance in Chicago on Sunday, November 28th at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph Street). Now entering its final six weeks, Billy Elliot to date has performed to over 365,000 people and grossed $27 million dollars (through October 17).
