Following four seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE celebrates its fifth anniversary at a brand new venue and with an even deeper mix of styles and talent. This unique piano festival takes place Tuesday through Thursday, May 25, 26, and 27, at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street between Sullivan and Thompson St. Each hour-long concert begins at 7:30pm; doors open at 6:30pm.

ANYONE CAN WHISLTE is an experimental satire that takes aim at every target on the American cultural scene of the moment-conformity, psychology, race relations, greed, religion and politics. It divided the critics, thrilled the emerging counter-culture, baffled the masses, and became an instant legend-one that has grown over the years along with Sondheim's reputation. The title song and 'With So Little to Be Sure Of' have survived as cabaret classics, but the rarely heard complete score is a riot of jazzy, show-biz razzmatazz, waltzes, gospel numbers and Broadway pastiche, as full of variety and surprise as the show that gave birth to it.

Chuck Mead, musical arranger for the upcoming Broadway production of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET said he had some apprehension about maintaining the rock authenticity in a big rock show on Broadway . However, Mead believes the Great White Way is ready for some authentic rock 'n' roll.

ABC has announced that, on April 22nd, it will swap the time periods of its hour-long Thursday drama's, 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice.' The move will avoid having original episodes of the new show, 'FlashForward,' and 'Private Practice' air on either side of 'Grey's Anatomy.'

Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF) will conclude its 2009-10 season in the company's revolutionary home at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, with a Spring Repertory that features Keythe Farley, Brian Flemming and Laurence O'Keefe's outrageous Off-Broadway Musical of the Year, Bat Boy: The Musical and William Shakespeare's magical masterpiece, A Midsummer Night's Dream. The productions will be performed in rotating repertory April 8 - May 16, 2010. The Spring Repertory features GLTF's resident artistic company of actors performing two alternating plays on the same stage over six weeks. Veteran Festival artist Victoria Bussert will direct Bat Boy: The Musical.

The 2010-2011 season begins July 6 with the award-winning hit musical Life Could Be a Dream. In a shocking turn of events, tonight featured the first of the top six gentlemen to head home. Each of the three ladies were called up first, eventually learning that they were each safe on the night. After that, the night was a complete shocker, ending on a sad note for one of the contestants.

Tonight, the 'Idol' contestants were given the task of taking on the rather extensive Lennon/McCartney songbook. Given the sheer number of tunes to select from and the vast differences in types of songs, it would seem each contestant should have been able to find a song that would suit both their voice and personality. Many of the contestants, thankfully, did so, giving one of the best shows so far this year. As the competition heats up, it's interesting to see the bar set to a new level each week , although, each week it also becomes all the more clear who doesn't belong.
