BroadwayWorld.com, the premiere theatre site on the internet, is proud to announce its newest offering in the streaming video space. 'Upright's West Side Stories' chronicles the adventures Upright Cabaret producer/hosts Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel as they travel the left coast in search of great theatre... and a few cocktails.

Featuring talent from the Great White Way to the sandy beaches of LA, 'Upright's West Side Stories' takes you up close and personal with some of your favorite entertainers in show business.

The premiere webisode, launches in cyberville Monday, September 29th and takes place at the 9 to 5 press conference with the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton. Also appearing is the cast of 9 to 5 which includes Alison Janney, Megan Hilty, Stephanie J. Block, Marc Kudisch, as well as the show's Bookwriter Patricia Resnick and producer and Showtime network president Bob Greenblatt.

Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel decided to start Upright Cabaret in April of 2005 when they were sitting around a Hollywood watering hole pondering the days of the Coconut Grove, Rose Tattoo and an era when Hollywood stars could sing, act and dance occasionally tell a few jokes. Of course, neither of them were old enough to actually experience this golden era of west coast supper clubs, but they had been privy to many accounts of Barbra Streisand stopping in, having some dinner and singing a song for a lucky group of adoring fans.  They decided to buy an Upright piano on Craigslist, borrowed a speaker and a microphone from a hippie in Venice Beach and begged a few of their talented friends to sing, drink and be merry. Since that inaugural standing room only engagement, Upright has featured cast members from over 75 Broadway shows as countless stars of film and television. Cabaret is synonymous with New York City sophisticates and the dark gothic rooms of booze and bawd. But in sunny southern California, the Upright Boys have turned that stale sister into a hip contemporary social swirl of Broadway and Hollywood.

Tune into 'Upright's West Side Stories' for a fresh take on everything Broadway from America's West End.
