Eddie Varley Eddie Varley was most recently seen as one of the stars of the Lifetime Television Series, MATCHED IN MANHATTAN.

On the New York stage he was a cast member of the long running hit musical revue INTO THE WEEDS: The Bill Weeden Songbook at the Laurie Beechman Theater. Eddie received critical acclaim for his role of Jameson in the New York and Los Angeles Productions of Joe Mortimer's GRAPEFRUIT. As a cast member of the New Vic Theatre of London, he toured both the UK and US in their productions of DRACULA, HUNCHBACK and THE CANTERBURY TALES. He spent several Holiday seasons at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino's Showroom Theater headlining with performers such as the legendary Mickey Rooney, Andrea McArdle and John Byner. An accomplished illustrator, his work can be found in the recent McGraw Hill release, WHY HASN'T HE CALLED?

Variety reports NBC has officially passed on David E. Kelley's drama pilot 'Legally Mad'. 'Legally Mad' would have been the first primetime series from Kelley since the tv mastermind sealed a deal with Warner Bros. TV and would have been his first show at the Peacock since 'L.A. Law.' Kenny Ortega directed the pilot, which Kelley wrote, about a father and daughter at a Chicago law practice -- and the characters that surround them.

Cowell revealed he thinks Adam Lambert will win this season of the popular singing competition show. He told Oprah Winfrey on Monday's episode of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' that his money is on Lambert because the contestant is fearless, unique and 'he's got swagger.'

UK theatre websource WhatsOnStage.com is reporting that Spring Awakening has posted closing notices at the Novello Theatre. Originally set to run until October 31st, 2009, it will now close on May 30th. The Lyric Hammersmith production of Spring Awakening transfered to the Novello Theatre on Saturday 21 March 2009.

Variety reports the sad news that Linda Dangcil, a dancer and actress who played Sister Ana on the ABC series 'The Flying Nun,' and appeared in the film version of 'West Side Story'died May 7th at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after an eight-year battle with throat cancer. She was 67 years old.
