Sam Flood, Coordinating Producer, NBC Sports since 2005 has been named the seventh Executive Producer in NBC Sports history. Flood, who first began his career at NBC Sports as an Olympic researcher in 1986, begins his new role immediately and reports to Dick Ebersol, Chairman, NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. Ebersol, who made the announcement, continues to serve as Executive Producer for all Olympics and NFL coverage.

"NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" was the most watched network evening newscast for the week of June 7 - 13, 2010, according to Nielsen Media Research data. During the week, 'Nightly' saw 7.526 million total viewers, +595,000 more than ABC 'World News,' 6.931 million and +2.082 million more than CBS 'Evening News'" 5.444 million. Nightly News was retitled on Wednesday due to pre-emptions in western markets for coverage of the NHL Finals. World News was coded as a breakout on both Tuesday and Thursday due to coverage of the NBA Finals. Season-to-date, "Nightly" leads "World News" by +1.083 million total viewers.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the opening of a permanent exhibit of photos in celebration of The Old Globe's 75th anniversary. Located in the Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center and the Old Globe Theatre lobby, the exhibit uses photographs and graphics to present images of the Globe's 75 years including the many artists who have worked both on and off the stage. The exhibit is comprised of four parts: 'Bringing Art to Life,' 'Lineage of the Globe,' 'Artists of the Globe' and 'History of the Globe.' Curated and designed by Llance Bower, the exhibit includes more than 150 images, custom wall-mounted illustrations, motion-activated digital picture frames and lenticular printing that allows images to change when viewed from different angles.

On June 9, Deborah Voigt, America's top dramatic soprano, marked another milestone in her career when she returned to San Francisco Opera and made her title role debut as the pistol-packing, poker-playing barmaid in Puccini's Gold Rush extravaganza, La fanciulla del West (The Girl of the Golden West). Running through July 2, the new San Francisco production is the first North American staging to celebrate the opera's centenary.

More than 25 years after defying long odds, harsh wintry conditions, scant supplies of food and little money to invest, members of the Cooperative Artists, the group that established professional theater at a then-closed 1920s Art Deco movie house in the old Borscht Belt region of the Lower Catskill Mountains are returning for a July 4th weekend reunion celebration at Shadowland Theatre, the Actors' Equity theater in downtown Ellenville, NY, 90 miles northwest of Broadway.

Noël Coward is alive and well at Cygnet Theatre! With the current run of Coward's PRIVATE LIVES receiving raves on the mainstage, Associate Artistic Director Francis Gercke has assembled a stellar cast of San Diego favorites to deliver a staged reading of his most famous drama, THE VORTEX. The one-night only reading will be performed Monday, June 21st, 2010 at 7:00pm in Cygnet's Old Town Theatre. This performance marks the continuation of Cygnet's highly popular Playwright Companion Series which seeks to deepen the theatre-going experience for its audiences with uniquely diverse 'partner pieces' to each of Cygnet's main-stage shows.
