Open Stage Extends Music Theatre Workshop Auditions Through 7/9June 15, 2010Auditions for Open Stage of Harrisburg's Music Theatre Workshop for students ages 12-17 have been extended until Friday, July 9. The program runs from July 19 - August 5 at the theatre in downtown Harrisburg. The program has been designated a 'Regional Summer School of Excellence' for seventh year in a row. This competitive grant, awarded annually to only 15 education entities in the state, is based on a rigorous evaluation of proposals for gifted and talented summer programming tied to state and national teaching and learning standards. Open Stage's program is unusual in the area in that it gives professional instruction in acting, singing, and dancing as well as performance. All students are given individual attention in small classes.
