The producers of London's DIRTY DANCING - The Classic Story on Stage, which has been playing at the Aldwych Theatre since 2006, have announced that the show will close 9 July, 2011.

New York Choral Society (NYCS) will perform Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in the newly renovated Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on February 25 at 8pm. 'SING,' the new single from My Chemical Romance's current album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, has climbed to No. 1 on Mediabase's Modern Rock radio chart this week. The cast of the hit show Glee will perform the song on the February 15th episode, which airs at 8/7c on FOX. Anyone who misses the show can watch the full episode, as well as clips from the show, on Hulu the following day, February 16th.

Stage and screen actor Kenneth Mars, known for his work in Mel Brooks films, has died at the age of 75. The performer passed away Saturday of pancreatic cancer at his home in Grenada Hills.

On February 5th, Tony Award winner Idina Menzel made her debut with the New York Philharmonic. During the performance, the stage and screen star performed Lady Gaga's 'Pokerface.'

Charles Fee, Producing Artistic Director of Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF), unveiled an expanded season to commemorate the classic theater company's fiftieth anniversary. The new season, which will include an additional sixth production, is scheduled to run from September 2011 through June 2012 at PlayhouseSquare's Hanna and Ohio Theatres. Lifetime Television has ordered 16 half-hour episodes of an all-new docu-series featuring Emmy® Award-winning actress, comedienne and best-selling author Roseanne Barr, marking her return to television as she takes on her newest endeavor, running her farm in Hawaii.
