Carlos Gustavo Monroy, originally born in Cartago, Colombia, came to New York at age 18. He studied at the International Center of Photography, and worked in the travel industry for about 10 years. He was a staff photographer for Genre Magazine for almost three years, and is now a freelance portrait artist, shooting models for Subzero Modeling Agency.
