Casting was recently completed for the Broadway premiere of Rajiv Joseph's play BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO - set to begin previews March 11 and open March 31 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.), starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut - it has been announced by the play's producers Robyn Goodman, Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Center Theatre Group.

Fran Sancisco took the stage at the D-Lounge on Sunday, August 22. The duo, comprised of American Idiot cast members Brian Charles Johnson and Chase Peacock, performed their original pop/hip-hop music in their first headlining show. Last night, May 20, the producers of FELA! hosted a post-theater reception at The Palm in midtown for Broadway national tour presenters from across the country who are in town for the Spring League Conference and for members of the FELA! company in celebration of thier 11 Tony Award nominations - the most of any show this season. In attendence were Tony nominated producers Jay-Z, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Stephen & Ruth Hendel, Tony-nominated director & choreographer Bill T. On Sunday, March 28, Macy's Herald Square launched the 36th annual Macy's Flower Show with the help of some of Broadway's finest, including Twyla Tharp, the cast of Come Fly Away, and Avenue Q alumnus John Tartaglia, who is preparing to open Imaginocean at New World Stages on March 31, 2010. The American Theatre Wing Presented the 2010 Jonathan Larson® Grants on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the American Airlines Theatre in New York City. This year, Peter Lerman, Daniel Maté, and songwriting team Michael Kooman (music) and Christopher Dimond (book & lyrics) were selected to receive the prestigious grants, totaling $10,000. Premieres, in association with Primary Stages, introduced the cast of the world premiere of Inner Voices: Solo Musicals, to the press this week. Inner Voices consists of two one-act musicals: Mosaic with book & lyrics by Cheri Steinkellner and music and lyrics by Georgia Stitt, featuring Heidi Blickenstaff; and Whida Peru: Resurrection Tangle, with book and lyrics by David Simpatico and music by Josh Schmidt, featuring Judith Blazer. Jonathan Butterell directs both musicals, with musical direction by Andy Boroson, J. Oconer Navarro and Steve Marzullo.
