On September 15, Louis Armstrong comes back to life at the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre where Dennis Neal stars in the world premiere of Terry Teachout's Satchmo at the Waldorf, a one-man play about the most beloved jazzman of all time. Set at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong performed in public for the last time before his death in 1971, Satchmo at the Waldorf is a theatrical tour de force, a play in which the same actor portrays Armstrong and Joe Glaser, the trumpeter's controversial manager. Inspired by their actual words, the play takes a searching look at the complex relationship between the genius from New Orleans who turned jazz into a swinging art form and the hard-nosed, tough-talking ex-gangster from Chicago who made him an international icon.

Rena Blades, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Palm Beach County Cultural Council, announced the upcoming season of the popular series CULTURE & COCKTAILS. Growing up in Los Angeles, singer/ songwriter/ actor/ dancer Ariana Savalas was constantly entertained by the fascinating stories about her famous father, legendary film, television actor and Academy Award nominated Telly Savalas (for 'Birdman of Alcatraz'). Now at 22 years of age, Ariana is a seasoned recording artist and live performer specializing in songs, songwriters and artists from the 1930s-1950s. Following a successful tour of Europe, Ms. Savalas landed the title role of the feature film Miriam, for which she received much critical acclaim. She continues to juggle her time between film, the recording studio and live performance.

The sixty-minute show features an eclectic array of music all sung in Whitney's smooth jazz style. Whitney has been singing and entertaining since she was five years old. At the age of 13 she decided she was going to be a jazz singer and since then she has traveled the world with a song in her heart and a microphone in hand. The chanteuse will highlight stories of love, life, and friendship through her favorite Broadway Show Tunes and the Great American Songbook. The show will feature James W. Crumbly, Jr. on piano and guest vocalist Natalie Symons.

Six Years is the poignant and powerful drama that tracks the marriage of Phil and Meredith Granger, in five separate scenes, each separated by six years, beginning at the end of WWII and ending with the Vietnam War. We see them first deal with the aftermath of war, transition to a tremendous business success and continue forward dealing with their son in the Vietnam era. Mr. White's razor sharp script illuminates an understanding of marriage reminiscent of the classic American writers Arthur Miller and Eugene O'Neil.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams.
