Audra Stafford is excited to share her love of San Diego theatre with BroadwayWorld.com! As the entertainment reporter for ABC-10 in San Diego, Audra covered the world premieres of A Catered Affair and Dancing in the Dark at The Old Globe, the West Coast premiere of Xanadu at the La Jolla Playhouse, and she was also one of only two journalists in the nation to be embedded in a production of CATS during its national tour. Audra has also interviewed many of Hollywood?s and Broadway?s finest actors, directors and producers, including Scott Sanders, Tom Hulce, Frankie Valli, Robin Williams, Jon Voigt, Helen Mirren, George Lopez, Teri Hatcher, Dakota Fanning, Jerry Bruckheimer and Henry Selick.
Audra is a distinguished graduate of San Diego State University?s Television, Film and New Media Production program, where she earned two Student Emmys. She also received an Emmy for her work as producer of 10-4 San Diego. Audra is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild.

The Old Globe is currently featuring the World Premiere of Nobody Loves You, a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Gaby Alter and book and lyrics by Itamar Moses set in the world of reality television. The cast of Nobody Loves You features Jenni Barber (Jenny), Alex Brightman (Chazz, Dominic, Evan), Heath Calvert (Byron), Kate Morgan Chadwick (Samantha, Bonnie), Adam Kantor (Jeff), Kelsey Kurz (Christian, Steve), Nicole Lewis (Tanya, Nina, Zenobia) and Lauren Molina (Megan). Robert Lepage's newest Cirque du Soleil creation TOTEM, now on tour in California, features never-before-seen images of evolution through acrobatics and state-of-the-art projections. Artistic Director Tim Smith recently spoke to BroadwayWorld correspondant Audra Stafford about all things TOTEM and everything behind-the-scenes show at San Diego's Hotel Indigo. TOTEM opens in San Diego on April 25 and will make stops in Boston and Washington, D.C. this summer.

The Artist is a 2011 French comedy-drama film directed by Michel Hazanavicius, starring Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo. The story takes place in Hollywood between 1927 and 1932 and focuses on a declining film star and a rising actress, as silent cinema falls out of fashion and is replaced by the talkies. Most of the film itself is silent; it was produced in black-and-white, and has received wide praise from critics and many accolades. Dujardin won the Best Actor Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, where the film premiered.

Cirque du Soleil has returned to the Santa Monica Pier with its critically-acclaimed OVO. The production opened on Friday, January 20, 2012 fand will run for a limited engagement through March 11, 2012 under the trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top). As previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company recently announced a new block of tickets now on-sale through April 29th, 2012 for their Tony-winning production of Anything Goes. It was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, July 31st, 2011. The production currently stars 2011 Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as 'Reno Sweeney' and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as 'Moonface Martin,' and is directed and choreographed by 2011 Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. Rhythm is king when the magic of Disney music is taking to the streets in the new 'Mickey's Soundsational Parade' in Disneyland park. A bevy of favorite Disney characters including Aladdin, Ariel, Cinderella, and Peter Pan follow 'the leader of the club,' Mickey Mouse, as they lead guests on a journey of sound and story. The Glee Live! In Concert! tour in North America began on Friday, May 21 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas and will wrap up the North American leg on June 18th in Uniondale, NY at the Nassau Coliseum. The Gleeks have completed their performances in California and have landed in Minneapolis for their performance at the Target Center tonight.
