The theater company 3-Legged Dog has made a settlement with its landlord, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the New York Times reports. The MTA had previously threatened 3-Legged Dog with eviction from its 80 Greenwich Street location, due to 3-Legged Dog's failure to pay over $300,000 owed to MTA.

Walt Disney Studios announced on August 24 that it would withdraw from the International Animated Film Society, the New York Times reports. Disney's withdrawal is due to discontent with the society's Annie Awards, given for achievement in animation.

Baryshnikov and the Merce Cunningham Dance Company will perform 'Occasion Piece2,' accompanied by Joan La Barbara and John Kelly performing music from John Cage's 'Song Books.' The film 'With Merce,' created by Charles Atlas, will also be shown.

Paul Rudd, who acted in the 1960s and 1970s, died August 10 in Greenwich, Connecticut, the Hartford Courant's Behind the Curtain Blog reports. Rudd, who was seventy years old, died of pancreatic cancer.
