Raas Leela: An East Side Story at Dell Hall at The Long Center for the Performing Arts

Raas Leela: An East Side Story is a large-scale Bollywood musical presented by Agni Foundation for the Arts and Agni Katha, featuring 130 performers, 12 choreographers, and 9 dance pieces spanning Bollywood, contemporary, folk, classical, and modern fusion styles. Set in the fictional city of Vrindapur, the production follows Ram and Leela, two young lovers caught between the rival Kothari and Rathod families, drawing on the emotional architecture of classic Western love stories reimagined through a South Asian lens. The cast includes Suhaani Srireddy as Leela, Arya Santosh as Ram, Sazu Khadem as the antagonist Manoj Rathod, and Mark Talukdar as the narrator Sutradhar, among others. The production is directed by Prasenjit Biswas, with creative direction by Rohit Ramachandran and executive production by Prakash Mohandas.
