The TexARTS Academys spring season continues with the Disney classic Mary Poppins, Jr. A Musical based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film. With Original Music and Lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman and a Book by Julian Fellowes. The production will run April 27-28 & May 4-5 at the Kam & James Morris Theatre at TexARTS. Mary Poppins, Jr. is directed by Robert Carrasco with Music Direction by Felicia Hernandez and Choreography by Emily Villarreal. A Practically Perfect woman arrives in London to help the Banks Family who is in desperate need for a nanny. With the help of the beloved chimney sweep Bert and a little bit of magic, whimsical hilarity ensues. With hit songs like A Spoonful of Sugar and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious kids and parents alike are sure to be tapping along to the tunes we all know and love.
