Jane Austin Improv at Hyde Park Theatre

Starting with a single audience suggestion, the cast devises a full-length play on the spot, creating something Jane Austen may have written. Step into a world where the elegance of Regency-era England collides with improv comedy and laugh along as the actors navigate their costumes, horseback riding, complexities of courtship, and the rigid social hierarchy of the early 1800s.

In 2023 they were awarded the B. Iden Payne Ethel Hinkley Award for recognizing outstanding original theater in Austin and in 2025 they were a finalist for the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of Austin” awards.

Since 2023 they have maintained a residency at Fallout Theater in Austin Texas and have also been seen on the Impro Amsterdam mainstage (February 2025), in California at SF SketchFest (January 2025), and at Twin Cities Improv Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota (June 2024) as well as touring around Texas to Station Theater in Houston, Laugh Out Longview Improv Festival, and down in San Antonio, Texas!
