Atlanta's Theatrical Outfit presents Around the World in 80 Days, adapted by Mark Brown from the novel by Jules Verne, playing now through November 8 at the Balzer Theatre.

The original "Amazing Race," this comedy-adventure, set in 1872, is a high-spirited romp through different continents, cultures and time zones that puts one man's life and fortunes at risk. However, 80 Days is more than a comical romp across the corners of the continent: "Fogg's journey reveals the true purpose of his spirit, and invites a lifting of the conditions suggested by his surname. When we can escape the limits of schedules, rules, regimens, and obligations, we find in ourselves the more open spaces of life, the longer, more meditative rhythms of nature, and the true goal of our very existence," says director Clint Thornton.

The cast features James Donadio, Kate Donadio, Paul Hester, Tom Key, and Bill Murphey.

Following the performance on Friday, October 30, there will be a talkback with the cast and director.  Click here for a full performance schedule.

Tickets range in price from $15-$35 and can be purchased by calling 678-528-1500 or by clicking here. The Balzer Theatre is located at 84 Luckie St in Downtown Atlanta. For more information on Theatrical Outfit, visit www.theatricaloutfit.com.
