Synchronicity Theatre to Present THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE

Synchronicity Theatre presents THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE, a new folk-rock musical, by Jeremiah Parker Hobbs and Jessica De Maria. This special event runs for one weekend only, June 17-19 at Synchronicity Theatre in Midtown Atlanta. Performances are at 8pm Friday and Saturday and 5pm Sunday.

THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE transports us to a world of dimly lit bars in which a single moment can be transformed into a lingering memory by no more than a guitar and a mic. Jacob, a singer-songwriter on a path toward superstardom, trying to make sense of the big moments in his life - most notably the end of his relationship with Grace, a passionate woman fascinated by a romance from the past. Branden Hembree and Kristina Adler will perform the roles of Jacob and Grace, as well as tell the stories of other couples woven into this powerful blend of music, love letters, and poetry.

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM

Co-writers Jeremiah Parker Hobbs and Jessica De Maria are both Atlanta based writers and performers. Hobbs, an actor, singer, songwriter and musician, appeared as "Riff Raff" in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Actor's Express for which he was nominated for a Suzi Bass Award. He recently starred as Peter in PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at Georgia Ensemble Theatre and appeared in the world premiere of TELL ME MY DREAM by Pearl Cleage at the Alliance Theatre. He has written countless songs, and a published novella, Love/Sick. De Maria, a Long Island native, appeared recently in SWEENEY TODD at Actor's Express and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA at Theatrical Outfit. Up next, you can catch her in KISS ME KATE at Stage Door Players and THE THREEPENNY OPERA at 7Stages. Other credits include THE GRIMM LIVES OF THE INBETWEENS (Alliance Theatre), MARY POPPINS, LES MISERABLES (Aurora Theatre) and THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD (Stage Door Players). Jessica has also performed with, Georgia Ensemble, Synchronicity and Pinch N' Ouch.
