Pinch n' Ouch Theatre presents the regional premiere of REASONS TO BE PRETTY by Neil LaBute on the Hertz Stage at the Woodruff Arts Center (1280 Peachtree St. NE), June 9th thru June 27th. Evening performances are at 8 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday and at 7 p.m. on Sunday; there is also a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Playwright Neil LaBute takes no prisoners tackling the taboos and unspoken truths of contemporary American Life. This play concludes LaBute's trilogy exploring America's obsession with physical beauty, a trilogy he began with two runaway hits, The Shape of Things and Fat Pig. In this fiercely dark comedy the "bad boy of American theatre" returns with a play sure to scintillate and enflame audiences as he takes us on a wild ride through the national obsession with what it means to be pretty.

REASONS TO BE PRETTY introduces Greg, a blue-collar everyman who really, truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he casually mentions them, all hell breaks loose. A hopelessly romantic drama about the hopelessness of romance, REASONS TO BE PRETTY is a gorgeous play.

The general admission tickets are $28 ($18 for students/seniors) and are on sale now at the Woodruff Arts Center box office. Visit woodruffcentertickets.org or call 404.733.5000 for more information. The Hertz Stage is located at the Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309. For parents, the play contains violence, profanity, sexuality, and strong thematic elements.

Co-founded by Atlanta natives Grant McGowen and Bree Dawn Shannon, The Pinch n' Ouch Theatre begins its inaugural season with an aim to present contemporary and relevant works of American theatre to the Atlanta stage. Playwright Neil LaBute's celebrated work Reasons To Be Pretty kicks off PnO's long campaign of regional and world premiere plays. PnO's first full season begins January 2011.
