This June, join the Center for Puppetry Arts in a fun-filled, hands-on, week-long adventure in puppetry. Children ages 9-12 will celebrate the magic of the art form by learning how to create their own puppet show from start to finish.

Campers will explore:

Puppetry Styles
Puppet History
Script Writing
Puppet Design
Puppet Building
Character Development
Acting
Team Building
Sound Effects & Music
Prop & Scenery Creation

...and more, as they work together in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Classes will be led by the Center’s seasoned Teaching Artists/Puppeteers, ensuring a professional, positive and play-filled experience. Campers will also enjoy a performance of The Little Pirate Mermaid, a guided Museum tour, and a Create-A-Puppet workshop—AND perform the puppet show they've created for family and friends as a culmination of their week.

The camp runs June 18 - 22, 2012, 9:00am – 3:00pm daily at the Center for Puppetry Arts, located at 1404 Spring Street NW Atlanta, Ga. COST: General Public: $425; Members: $375.
