The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and the ALLIANCE THEATRE are coming together to provide Atlanta with a new "pop-up" nightlife scene at the Woodruff Arts Center. The venue, Soundstage, will be open on the first Friday of every month, and will be launched in conjunction with the Atlanta Symphony's inaugural "First Fridays with the ASO" concert on Friday, November 1, 2013.

Soundstage is a lounge and performance venue located in the Woodruff Arts Center's Memorial Arts Building, which allows guests to enjoy food, drinks, and good company in a relaxed environment. In addition, guests can take pleasure in live music, improv comedy, and spoken word performances created by the artists of the Atlanta Symphony, ALLIANCE THEATRE, and more.

It is not required to have a ticket to a Symphony Hall or ALLIANCE THEATRE performance in order to access Soundstage. Entry is free and open to the general public. Drinks and a selection of tapas will be available for purchase. The full-service bar will be open from 5:00 p.m. until midnight, with live programming occurring between 8:00 p.m. and midnight.

The inaugural "First Fridays with the ASO" concert, part of the Orchestra's new happy-hour concert series, will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Music Director Robert Spano will lead the Orchestra in Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Guest pianist Stephen Hough will play Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1. Tickets are just $25. More details are available at aso.org.

Guests can also take advantage of two performances at the ALLIANCE THEATRE on November 1 - By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, the groundbreaking comedy by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage on the Alliance Stage, and Warrior Class, by playwright and television writer Kenneth Lin (said, Said and Netflix's House of Cards) on the Hertz Stage. Both performances begin at 8:00 p.m. Soundstage guests can take $5 off* tickets for either performance with promo code SOUNDSTAGE5 - online or at the box office. www.alliancetheatre.org or 404.733.5000. *Not valid on previously purchased tickets or in combination with any other offers. Subject to availability.

Whether guests are attending a performance at the Woodruff Arts Center or just stopping by to explore a new Midtown nightlife scene, Soundstage provides the perfect mix of leisure and entertainment for its audience. The venue is located in the Memorial Arts Building of the Woodruff Arts Center at the corner of 15th and Peachtree Streets.
