Atlanta Lyric Theatre Presents ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE

Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents this musical play April 13-29, 2018. More than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline's friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in l961. ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE performs at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre (548 South Marietta Pkwy., Marietta). For tickets, reservations and group pricing visit www.AtlantaLyric.com or call 404-377-9948.

ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE , complete with down home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and Walking After Midnight...27 songs in all. The show's title was inspired by Cline's letters to Seger, which were consistently signed "Love Always, Patsy Cline."

Joining us in the role of PATSY CLINE is Laura Hodos. Laura returns to the role after playing the country music icon in Maine and Florida. She is an award winning performer and a favorite on the Florida cabaret circuit. She has performed with Orlando Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony and the Sarasota Orchestra along with many of Florida's finest regional theatres. Laura has written and performed ten solo cabarets on top of her work in theatre all over the country, and is a Cabaret Fellow at the O'Neill Theatre Center.

Beloved Atlanta favorite, Karen Howell, takes on the role of LOUISE SEGER. She was most recently seen in the Lyric's production of MY FAIR LADY. Karen's career spans nearly 40 years and includes work in close to all of Atlanta's professional theatre companies. She is perhaps best remembered by Atlanta audiences for playing the matriarch of the Sanders Family for 20 years at the late, great Theatre in the Square.

The all female artistic team is rounded out by music director AMANDA WANSA MORGAN and director Mary Nye Bennett (Artistic Director of the Atlanta Lyric).

Accompanied by a life 6 piece rockabilly band, ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE is a beautiful night at the theatre!

As a special addition, our opening night performance will include a complimentary pre-show party and the unveiling of the Atlanta Lyric's brand new logo!

ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE, is the fourth show in the Lyric's 38th Season and is followed by the high flying family favorite, TARZAN, the MUSICAL.

Our 39th Season of Musicals is on sale now!

Subscriptions and season tickets are on sale at www.atlantalyric.com or call 404-377-9948.
