Wayne Abravanel Brings EAST IS EAST - WEST IS WEST to the Arthur Newman

Wayne Abravanel will bring his latest one-man cabaret concert, "East Is East - West Is West" to the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2 PM. Tickets are $15 cash only, and it is presented by Les Michael's Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series.

"East Is East - West Is West" is a selection of songs from musicals from both Broadway and Hollywood films along with special antidotes, backstage stories, and even some secrets from behind the scenes. Wayne is well known as a singer and pianist here in the desert area, but you may not know his background, which includes playing in or conducting numerous Broadway shows in New York City as well as those he traveled with in national tours. A few of the shows include The Who's Tommy, Sunset Boulevard, Chicago, Cabaret, Jekyll and Hyde, West Side Story and 42nd Street. He has also musical directed shows for Hal Linden, Leslie Uggams, Michelle Lee, Elaine Page, Jane Olivor, Roslyn Kind, Kaye Ballard, Donna Theodore, Derrik Lewis' Musical Chairs, Palm Springs Follies, Indian Wells Symphony and Sun City's Performing Arts Club.
