Songs for a New World--Jason Robert Brown's song cycle of love, life and seizing the moment--will be performed by six performers in New Jersey from June 24th through July 9th.

Headlined by Barbara Walsh (Cincinatti Playhouse Company, Hairspray, Falsettos) and Liz McCartney (Taboo, Mamma Mia!, Dance of the Vampires), the production will be performed at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ. Jack Cummings III--the Artistic Director of the Transport Group--will helm the show, which will be presented by ABCD Productions and feature musical direction by John DePinto.

Joining Walsh and McCartney will be Heather Ayers (Sarah, Plain and Tall, Five Course Love), Jack Donahue (the Transport Group's The Audience), Arthur Marks (Sidd: A New Musical) and David Rappaport, who will also produce the show.

Songs for a New World, with music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Brown, opened at Off-Broadway's WPA Theatre in 1995 and has since received over two hundred productions around the world. The song cycle includes songs such as "Stars and Moon," "I'd Give it All For You," "Just One Step," and "I'm Not Afraid of Anything."
