Students in grades 7-12 may enter WOR's Shining Star Talent Search by singing a Broadway song of their choice and submit their recording to WOR Radio 710 AM. The winning student will receive a professional recording session with Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records, as well as other prizes.

Entries will be judged by WOR's talk hosts and staff, and WOR listeners will then choose three finalists. A panel of entertainment industry judges, including Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records president Kurt Deutsch, will choose the winner.

In addition to the recording session, the winner will also receive a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond. He or she will be interviewed on the WOR Morning Show and perform their winning song live at WOR's "Celebrate America: A Salute to Broadway" event on Sunday, June 25th. The three runners-up will each receive the latest Apple® iPod™. Also, the school attended by the winning student will receive a check for $5,000.

Submissions should be postmarked by Friday, April 28, 2006 and sent to:
