WNYC Presents 'Icons & Innovators' an Evening with Director George C. Wolfe

On Thursday, June 21, The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space at WNYC will present the latest installment of its "Icons & Innovators" series with George C. Wolfe, the award-winning director and playwright who received a Tony nom this year for the new production of The Iceman Cometh.

Hosted by author and television producer Susan Fales-Hill, the event will feature an intimate conversation with Wolfe. He'll discuss his career, finding the music in Eugene O'Neil's classic play and what drew him to directing his first revival in years.

Throughout his career, Wolfe has brought new voices to the stage in some of Broadway's most innovative productions, including Jelly's Last Jam, Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, the original production of Angels in America, Topdog/Underdog, and Caroline, Or Change.

Tickets are $20, available at thegreenespace.org

The Greene Space is the street-level broadcast studio and performance venue of WNYC and WQXR that produces special live editions of WNYC programs and WQXR concerts and festivals, as well as original programming, including theater events, arts and culture conversation series, political debates and audio theater. It serves as a place for experimentation, cultural discovery and dialogue. For more information, visit www.thegreenespace.org
