Renowned Theatrical Agent Peter Franklin has been let go from the William Morris Agency, according to Variety. Franklin, the head of the theater division at WMA, is among the 100+ employees fired as part of the ongoing William Morris-Endeavor merger.

Fresh out of college, Peter Franklin joined Curtis Brown Ltd. before moving to the William Morris Agency, where he stayed for 23 years. In January of 2002, Franklin left WMA and joined the Gersh Agency, but returned to WMA in June of 2003, joining Jack Tantleff as Co-Head of the Theatre Department.

Variety reports that Franklin has not yet determined whether he'll continue his career as an agent with another firm, and that no decisions have yet been made about which of his clients will remain at the newly-formed WME.

Franklin's clients include such theatrical luminaries as Arthur Laurents, Edward Albee, Terrence McNally, Adam Guettel, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Frank Galati and Paula Vogel.
