Over 10 million viewers nationwide tuned in to watch 15 year old Longmeadow High School student Brynn Cartelli become the winner of NBC's 14th season of The Voice. Brynn received her formal music training from Thomsen Music in Longmeadow, MA, where voice coach Peter Thomsen and his wife Abby Thomsen, a piano instructor, have been nurturing her talents from the time she was in elementary school.

"Brynn first came to Thomsen Music for piano lessons with Abby" says Peter. "It helped Brynn gain a strong understanding of music. She later started voice lessons with me at the age of 11." Thomsen added "Brynn is a true artist. She rolls up her sleeves, climbs inside the story where she lives, and invites others to experience it with her."

Thomsen Music was formed in 2008 after Peter retired as Longmeadow High School's Music Director. Since that time several of Peter's students have gone on to pursue highly successful music careers, including: Aaron Lewis of the alternative metal band Staind, Broadway Actress/Singer Meghann Fahy, and Opera Baritone David Tinervia, to name a few.

Peter Thomsen received advanced degrees in music from The Crane School of Music and studied vocal technique with Jeanette LoVetri in New York City. Thomsen is a certified Somatic Voicework instructor and he taught for several summers at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia.

Thomsen Music offers voice training and piano instruction to professionals and select amateurs worldwide via the internet and in their Longmeadow, MA studios where clients receive personalized training based on each student's specific talents and interests.
